Financial Controller (November 2020 - Maternity Cover)
Salary: ca. £50,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Nottingham High School is looking for a qualified accountant to join us on a fixed-term basis as a Financial Controller to cover a maternity leave from November 2020.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong expertise and knowledge of SAGE 200 and have significant experience of working in a computerised accounting and database environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school’s finance function, including supervising the work of the Finance Team (three Finance Officers), producing management accounts and reports and working with heads of other departments about budget development and review. The school is looking to make the best use of human and digital resources to optimise quality and productivity and to provide an outstanding service to internal and external customers. The role therefore also offers the successful candidate the potential to make a valuable contribution to cross-functional teams working on improvements projects.
In undertaking this role, you will be proactive and capable of working on your own initiative, able to shift priorities and manage a changing workload. Strong organisational and management skills are essential, along with the ability to be tactful and diplomatic.

As the successful candidate, you will have a Degree/professional qualification and track record of undertaking a Finance role and providing line managerial support at a mid level.
