To support the efforts of the NHS in the current Coronavirus crisis, Nottingham Hospitals Charity have launched the ‘Help your hospital heroes appeal’. This fund goes towards equipment needed in our hospitals and commodities for staff wellbeing in these unprecedented times, right here in Nottingham. Donations to this fund give the charity flexibility to buy the things that are most needed at the time. This may change from week to week, or even day to day.

While we face the challenges of living in lockdown we are keen to encourage our School community to take care in looking after their mental and physical wellbeing. That’s why we’re launching our ‘Fiver for Five’ active challenge to keep our community fit while raising money for this incredibly deserving local cause.

Getting involved is simple:

  • Take the Five challenge. This could be a 5km run, walk, or cycle, jogging around the garden or up and down the stairs five times, scoring 5 goals, dancing for 5 minutes – anything active!
  • Share your challenge. Can you convince 5 others to take the challenge too? If you’d like to post about your challenge on social media please use the hashtags #NHSfortheNHS #NottinghamNHSHeroes and mention @NottsHigh so that we can share them!
  • Donate your fiver. Click here to give £5 to this incredible local cause. We have set up a Justgiving page to ensure that donations reach the Nottingham Hospitals Charity directly and safely.

Please do get involved and encourage your friends and family to join in too! We very much recognise that for many these are challenging times financially, but anything that we can raise for this local cause will be hugely appreciated and help show support for the NHS working in extraordinary circumstances.

As ever, many thanks for your support.
