Meet the Team

Polly Bennett has been Head of the Infant and Junior School (IJS) since 2025. She was previously Head of two Prep Schools in Birmingham for 10 years and before that, Head in an all boys’ school in Derbyshire. Mrs Bennett has been in independent education for 24 years and held a variety of roles in both co-educational, single sex, day and boarding schools. Having been educated privately herself, Mrs Bennett firmly believes in extremely high standards in all areas of school life and ensures that the children in her care access the best possible pastoral care and educational opportunities at all times. Mrs Bennett is passionate about educating the ‘whole child’ and celebrating their strengths and talents whatever they maybe.  

Outside of school, Mrs Bennett can be found outside walking her dog or spending time with her family, usually on the beaches of North Norfolk. She has dabbled in the film industry having starred in a Hollywood blockbuster alongside Margot Robbie and Alexander Skarsgard. Mrs Bennett has two main ambitions. Firstly, to have a school dog to assist with the pastoral care and emotional wellbeing of the IJS community (Mr Holman will say yes one day!) and to feature in an episode of Midsomer Murder.
