Meet the Team

Christian Cordy has been the Deputy Head (Pastoral) of the Infant and Junior School since 2016.  Following his qualification as a teacher in 2003, he has worked exclusively in independent schools; first at Norwich School and then at the High School.  Mr Cordy’s favourite subjects to teach are Philosophy, Art, History and Maths (to name but a few!) and he loves playing an active role in the co-curricular life of the IJS.  If you were to ask the pupils what they know about Mr Cordy, the most common responses would be ‘He loves Lego’ or ‘He loves Star Wars’; key qualities for any primary school teacher!  He himself would argue he loves helping every child to be themselves and to enjoy every minute of being at school.   

Away from education, Mr Cordy is the proud dad to two children (both of whom attend the High School) and has a significant number of pets, all of which are rescues.  His favourite pastimes are watching sport (motor-racing in particular), gaming, reading, hiking and painting abstracts.
