Meet the Team

Emily Nelson has been Assistant Head, Director of Studies, at the High School since 2025, having moved from another independent school in the East Midlands. She has spent over 15 years in independent education, the last 3 of which have been in senior leadership. As a Geography teacher, she has held the role of Head of Department. She is actively involved in Sport, particularly Hockey, DofE, ski trips, expeditions, and has led over 20 field trips herself!   

Mrs Nelson is a very keen runner and loves analysing the statistics behind her pacing! True to her geography roots, she enjoys the outdoors, whether mountain hiking abroad or exploring the Peak and Lake District with her family. For relaxation, she delights in books, loving the pure escapism and journey into different worlds. Her family are also completely cricket-mad, so she can often be found at Trent Bridge enjoying all formats of the game.
