Nottingham High School is today celebrating a stunning set of A Level Results with 44% of all passes at the top A* grade and 78.4% of all passes at A* and A grades. A quite remarkable 66 students have gained 3 A grades or better. 31 students gained at least 3 A* grades and 8 gained at least four A* grades.

Kevin Fear, Headmaster of Nottingham High School said: “The past two years has seen many challenges for all students taking A Levels this summer.  We are so proud of every student taking A Levels at the High School for gaining such stunning results despite having faced being taught remotely during periods of lockdown and facing so much disruption and illness.  Our staff have worked so very tirelessly to support each individual throughout this time and this has helped them to gain the brilliant grades that they have achieved today.”

Kevin Fear concluded: “This year group has worked incredibly hard to achieve these hugely impressive results but they have also contributed so much more outside of the classroom, amongst them are several who have secured national level success in sport as well as in music and so they leave us with brilliant qualifications but also they have become really impressive, resilient and quietly confident young people ready to move on to their further education. These qualities and their empathy as individuals are every bit as important as each individual grade.  We have loved working with this cohort and they deserve every success that has come their way.”
