Get involved

As a parent there are plenty of ways you can get involved with various aspects of life at Nottingham High School.

The 500 Club is a private lottery and membership which is open to members of the school community. Prizes are drawn monthly, with super draws taking place twice a year in June and December. Money raised goes to the Headmaster’s Fund to support students – particularly those on bursary-assisted places – to attend educational school visits where the costs may otherwise prevent them from joining in. Contact Deborah Penney for more information.

Infant and Junior School parents are welcome to get involved with our Parents’ Association, the “Friends of Nottingham High School”. The group organise a variety of social events throughout the year, including the Summer Fête. They work with the school to raise valuable funds which are used for Infant and Junior School projects. They can be contacted through the Infant School secretary, Mrs Paterson or the Junior School Head’s PA, Mrs Cartwright.

While there is no formal Parents’ Association for the Senior School and Sixth Form, there are plenty of social events for parents to get involved with both as guests and volunteer helpers. If you are interested in being contacted about opportunities for volunteering your time at school events, please get in touch with Kamala Newton for more information.

Our Prayer Support Group is a meeting of Christian parents and staff from both High Schools who pray for all aspects of school life. Everyone is welcome, no matter what your faith or background, to join us or to send requests for prayer. For more information please contact senior school parent Helen Bromley (07816164550 or helen.bromley@sky.com).
